My skin is torn away from my muscle and bone,
sharp claws dug into me
and teeth tore through my neck
Oh bear you look so sweet
With your fluffy fur and
Sweet eyes
And wet nose
I tried to feed you,
To touch your paws
hold you close
and you repaid me with
Turning me inside out
And back again
I try to cover up when you reveal my lungs
And my heart
Protect my vitals and make sure
You don’t see what’s within me.
I never planned to spill my guts,
So you tear them out yourself
You read my bones and the ridges of my brain
like i’m just another book for you to ruin
draw all over
bend
break
And toss out
Or donate to the local library.
I don’t regret choosing you
The wild animal that you are
Because i know it’s only natural for you
To take me apart.
Your violence is not cruelty,
And when you eat my remains I hope
it tastes good
that your stomach is full
And when you encounter the next person,
You are no longer hungry.
